Tank top storage may not be something you realize is an issue….BUT not having enough closet space or drawer space probably is an issue for a lot of people! By making a change in how you store your tank tops…you might be solving your space issue!
My 9-year-old has a pretty small closet and it is PACKED….thanks to her older sister's hand me downs! I was trying to cram some more hangers in there and knew that I had to make more room somehow! I decided that all her tank tops could be consolidated somehow and it wouldn't affect them!
DIY Tank Top Storage
I found some shower rings in the garage…why we have extra shower rings in the garage I do not know! I guess it paid off for me because I didn't even have to go buy any! 🙂 I am sure my hubby is saying, “I told you so” right about now! He has a tendency to keep things that I don't think we need, but he is sure will come in handy some day!
I grabbed a big strong hanger and put the rings on. Then I just looped the shoulder straps of each tank top into a ring and closed the ring. This one has around 12 rings on it, but more would fit!
This would also work great with tanks that have spaghetti straps! I will be doing those in my 13-year-old's closet next.
This freed up several inches of space in my 9-year-old's closet and that amounts to quite a bit of space. This tank top storage solution worked great for us!
What is your favorite space-saving idea for closets? Do you have a different tank top storage solution that I need to hear about?

That’s a great idea. I currently just fold a couple then hang them on the bottom wire of a hanger. This is much better!

Your daughters closet looks like mine. What a great idea! I’ve never thought to put tanks on 1 hanger, genius! My closet rod will thank you.
